P2MG is a Houston based firm of project and construction managers with extensive experience in Job Order Contracting, Design-Build, and Construction Management Services. We have successfully completed over $850 million dollars of higher education, K-12, city, county, state and federal government Job Order Contract construction projects. The company, which is committed to total quality management, utilizes Project Management Institute (PMI) and Six Sigma methodologies to make sure that the triple constraint of Cost/Time/Quality are met on all of our projects.
P2MG has a dedicated in-house estimating department with a proven track record of providing pre-construction estimates, using Winest RS Means and other estimating tools that come in under budget during the construction phase. We have provided estimating services for 29 schools in the Houston Independent School District, and we have estimated over $100M in Job Order Contract projects for institutes of higher education and schools throughout Texas.
Our Master Scheduler has developed baseline Critical Path Method (CPM) schedules that identify the critical path and the best sequence for completing the identified activities for all of our Job Order Contract Projects. All of our projects are completed as scheduled. P2MG’s scheduler will work closely with Houston Airport System to make sure the Job Order Contract projects do not interrupt the day-to-day activities of the Airport, or any special events that may be planned.
P2MG has performed JOC contracts in the states of Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, Florida, and Mississippi during the years of 2008 to present. The company’s work is comprised of eight (8) years with government entities, six (6) years with private entities, three (3) years with healthcare facilities. P2MG has also completed and is currently working on multiple Job Order Contract projects for the City of Houston, METRO, Houston ISD, Texas State University, Prairie View A&M University, and the US Army Corps of Engineers.

Michael E. Nelson, Meng, PMP
Mr. Nelson is President and founder of P2MG, LLC. Started in Maryland in 2003, the Construction Management company has moved it’s corporate office to Houston, Texas and has expanded to have offices throughout Texas in San Marcos, El Paso, Dallas, as well as, Mobile, Alabama and Los Angeles, California. P2MG is a minority-owned firm certified with the City of Houston, Texas HUB, HMSDC, METRO, Houston Port Authority, and is SBA 8(a) Certified.
Michael has over 20+ years of Construction and Program/Project Management experience. 15 of which was with the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Mobile, New Orleans, and Baltimore Districts and 2 years with Skanska USA Building. During his tenure at the USACE he worked in all divisions throughout the districts (Engineering, Operations, Real Estate, Construction, Contracting, Planning and Program/Project Management Divisions). He was a senior project manager on build-to-suit and interior fit-up projects for commercial lease space for Top Secret Agencies throughout the United States. He specializes in managing Federal Government contracts and is an expert in Anti-Terrorism Force Protection (ATFP) and Scientific Compartmental information Facility (SCIF) Requirements. He has Senior Project Manager on a project for the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) campus for the 500K sq./ft. build to suit/ interior fit-up projects, valued over $100M. Mr. Nelson helped the clients get the best value on all projects and meet the triple constraint (Time, Cost and Quality).
Mr. Nelson was a senior consultant/project manager on the Houston Independent School District (HISD) life safety Job Order Contracting Program (JOC). He managed over 15 projects simultaneously valued over $2M. He is Program/Project Manager for the renovation of the HISD JOC program performing interior renovations and conversions of restrooms and classrooms, as well as parking lot upgrades, throughout the district, valued at over $10M. Mr. Nelson was also a senior consultant/project manager on the Houston Independent School District (HISD) life safety Job Order Contracting Program (JOC). He managed over 15 projects simultaneously valued over $2M. He is Program Manager on the Job Order Contract (JOC) for Prairie View A&M University, where he managed the construction of a Park, Pond project, Main Entrance, new road leading into the campus, soccer field, and renovation of several buildings on the campus. He also was one of several senior project managers managing an over $2B bond program for the District of Columbia Public Schools (DCPS). Mr. Nelson started and completed over $225 million of K-12 construction. The projects ranged from window replacement valued at $100K to the complete demolition and construction of a 300K sq./ft. multicultural middle/high school which included a mini UN and parking garage valued over $55M.
Mr. Nelson is a civil engineer and has a Master of Engineering in Project Management. He also has a Project Management Professional (PMP) License, a Black Belt in Six Sigma-Quality Management and holds Top Secret Clearance (TS-SCI). He is a certified trainer in Scheduling, Earn Value Management, Estimating, Risk Management, and the PMI Certification. He is an active member of the Project Management Institute, Cy-Fair Chamber of Commerce, Houston Minority Business Council, Houston Contractors Associations, and the Associated General Contractors of America.
